(1) 1961 First Helicopters arrive in S. Viet Nam
(2) Jan 12, 1962 Agent Orange used as a defoliant in jungle warfare.
(3) Jun 11, 1963 Buddust Monk sets self on fire in protest of war.
(4) Feb 06, 1964 North Viet Cong cross border into S. Viet Nam
(5) Oct 10-14 1965 US attacks central highlands.
(6)Mar 9-11 1967 Special Forces out post is wiped out near A Shau area: Marines rescue 12 of 17 Green Beret.
(NO PIC) Nov 03-22 173rd Airborne (the Herd), hold off 4,500 NVR at Dak To, killing 1,455 NVR and losing only
